I was pretty much the first one in and the last one out after ECD Nick Moore left for Wundermann in New York. I accrued four major awards: the TBWA/GGTalent 2002 'Best Digital' award for Vauxhall’s “New Vectra, New Rules.” microsite, the 2003 New Media Age Effectiveness Award Winner - Online Banking & Personal Finance for The Plan from the Pru website and finally, the TBWA/GGTalent 2003 ‘Best Idea That Never Ran’ and ‘People’s Choice’ runner up for a Unicef “David Blaine” poster stunt. The Vauxhall Meriva microsite was nominated for a D&AD in 2004. I’ve also found that experiencing a merger is a valuable professional experience. 15 months full-time Jun 2000 – Sep 2001 Senior Designer Modem Media, Euston, London I moved to Modemmedia with the intention of working within a multinational agency to see more of the world and further my education of an industry which was in the ascendency. I held a key position within both the rollout and maintenance of Philips.com and I also lead the design and user experience teams on Prudential.co.uk. 2 years Aug 1998 – Apr 2000 Senior Creative AKQA New Media Ltd, Piccadilly, London I was accepted by Creative Director James Hilton onto the original AKQA creative team of 12. My first project was the website for the Durex global sex survey 1998. Soon after I was made brand guardian of Cable & Wireless and after winning the Nike account as lead creative, I was made Creative Manager of the ‘Lifestyle’ client focused team looking after; Carlsberg Tetley, SEGA, Sainsburys and Nike. The NikeLondon website picked up an award.
